Suunto D9 is a Complete Package

While diving, a scuba diver traditionally has to keep track of many different gauges - his depth gauge, tank pressure meter, compass, and watch - all providers of the crucial information needed to dive safely.

The Suunto D9 is the first watch in the world to combine all these separate readouts into one complete package, so that divers can find all the information they need at a glance, and give their undivided attention to the most important thing of all, diving.

Wireless Connectivity and Internal Compass

The Suunto D9 is the first in the world to integrate a compass within a dive computer, showing both the diver's direction with a compass rose as well as his exact bearing. In addition, headings can be saved into the D9's memory and retrieved at a later time for convenient viewing. Of course, the compass is also usable on land.

The Suunto D9 comes with an optional wireless transmitter that can keep track of the remaining pressure in a tank, as well as rate of air consumption. Selecting from both a numerical or graphical display, a diver can monitor his remaining air time using the D9, as well as store his air consumption data for later analysis.

Evolving with you

The Suunto D9 comes pre-loaded with different modes to best suit your diving preferences. In Air Mode, the D9 is configured for simple and easy functionality that will put the recreational diver at ease.

In Nitrox mode, the Suunto D9 can handle up to three gas mixes, from 21%, all the way to 100% Oxygen. It also allows for the changing of gas mid-dive. The Suunto RGBM model is used to calculate decompression limits, which allows for deep stops as an alternative to normal safety stops.

Guage Mode sets the Suunto D9 to display a twin stopwatch, with a sampling rate of up to 1s, and a maximum depth detection of up to 200m (660ft), essential for the free or technical diver.

The Suunto D9 also comes with an integrated logbook, which shows not only basic dive data, but also a pictorial representation of a diver's dive profile, with real-time monitoring of water temperature and tank pressure. The logbook also has a Dive History function, which allows you to log your total dive time, as well as a Dive Planner function for repeat dives over a period of time.

The Suunto D9 is built into a sturdy titanium housing, and comes with either a durable rubber strap or in a stylish titanium bracelet. It includes a USB-compatible PC interace and is bundled together with the Suunto Dive Manager 2 software suite.
